Vision:

The vision of Latona Avenue Elementary is to prepare and motivate students for a rapidly changing world by instilling in them critical thinking skills, a global perspective and respect for core values of honesty, integrity, perseverance and compassion.

Mission Statement

The Latona community of learners work collaboratively to provide an environment that is intellectually engaging and challenging for all students. as we support and encourage our students' academic excellence, we also build their interpersonal skills and strengthen their self-confidence. We empower our students to maximize their potential, and prepare them to be college and career ready.

Goals for 2023-2024

• Attendance - 96% or higher (7 or less absences in an academic year)
• Academic achievement - 80% or above instructional model
• Student Behavior - build student self-control and self monitoring of respect, responsibility and safety by following:  We are Safe, We are Responsible, We are Respectful, We are Ready to Learn
• Reclassification - 22% or above
• Establish 2 Vex Robotics Teams
• Parent & Community Engagement  - Offer a welcoming environment and have 80% of parents complete the Parent Survey
